Hawkins, including notes on troop movements of Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson and the climax of the Peninsula Campaign near Richmond, Va.; together with an autographed letter signed (15 May 1865; 12 p.), from Hawkins at Danville, Va., to his mother, relating to evacuation during the final hours of the siege of Richmond and the southward escape of Jefferson Davis, Judah P. Benjamin, and other Confederate leaders.
